Turkey Taco Bowls
I love Mexican Food!
I could probably eat chips, salsa and quesadillas everyday! What is your favorite kind of food? Since this is my favorite, I am always trying to think of different ways to enjoy it. This bowl is awesome for lunch or dinner. It is always a big hit when we have friends and family over too. Everyone can create a combination they love.
1 lb. lean, ground turkey
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup corn (can be canned or fresh corn cut off the cob)
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup cilantro
1/4 cup red onion, diced
1/4 cup green pepper, diced
1/3 cup cheese, shredded
Plain Greek yogurt (for topping)
Your favorite salsa
1 cup whole grain brown rice, cooked
1. First, cook your turkey in a pan on stove. Add the taco seasoning and garlic salt to your turkey and mix evenly into the meat. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the meat is cooked through.
2. Cook your rice according the directions on the package.
3. Chop all of your fresh veggies!
4. In a bowl, combine the amount of each fresh ingredient you want and serve!
